Camp Tapawingo, operated by Friends of Wisconsin Camp Tapawingo, is located on 80 acres along the East Twin River north of Mishicot, WI. The camp was founded in the 1960s to provide opportunities for local youth to experience nature in a co-ed environment that supports personal development. Camp Tapawingo strives to operate affordable camps for families in northeast Wisconsin. We are proud to have continued this tradition for 60 years.
In addition to offering traditional youth overnight and day camps each year, we also provide opportunities to learn specific skills:
- Tractor Safety
- Hunter Safety
- Archery
- Astronomy
- Fishing
- Crafts
- Hiking
- Plus more added every year
Our camp property includes the Rensink Lodge for feeding up to 125 people with sleeping capacity of 48, 13 cabins housing 4-8 people each, an Archery Center, Nature Center, athletic court, and the Wagner Building, which hosts many craft activities.
We host a variety of day and overnight nights, family events, and are available for wedding, mission, corporate, and other rentals.
